A FAREWELL CEREMONY TO REMEMBER

Kolkata, August 24: The farewell ceremony of Sri Ramen Banerjee, a well-loved English teacher of Adarsha Siksha Niketan, was held yesterday. in an appropriate manner. After 38 years of invaluable service, the respected teacher bade adieu to his colleagues and dear students. The ceremony started at 5 p.m. in the school auditorium. It began with a speech by Mr Debdut Chatterjee, the school secretary. Then the students and teachers paid their due respect to the departing teacher with gifts and bouquets of flowers. Thereafter, the English teacher delivered his farewell speech describing his years of service at the institution. His speech revealed his love and affection for the students. In his concluding speech, the Headmaster also showered lavish praises on the teacher’s role in educating the pupils in an innovative and friendly way. The ceremony came to an end with the national anthem sung by the students of the school.
