THE CHOICE OF A CAREER

Proper choice of a career provides the proper direction in life and helps one to be a successful man. Just as a ship without a compass is lost in the sea, similarly, a man with no chosen career leads a wayward life without any goal to achieve. Choice of a career directs one to set targets, strive for achieving it and serve the society in the long run. Young minds do not find the right path and often fail to realise what is best for them. There should be proper career counselling to show them the way. The career counsellors can guide the students to recognise their strengths and weaknesses and help them to choose a career they would be best suited for. In this mechanical world, people are driven by materialistic interests. The overindulgence in earthly gains is likely to give birth to many misspent youths. But to choose a career early in life makes us lead a disciplined life in order to pursue what we want to be. This in turn benefits the society. Nowadays various new avenues are opening up as the lucrative careers for an enterprising youth. The most important factor while making a choice for a career is that one must take his/her area of interest and aptitude into consideration. That is the key to make a successful citizen and a thriving generation.
