Sir Mohan Lal was a snob who took pride in his sophistication as well as English mannerisms and hated his own country and its people. He has spent five years in London and considers that time to be the most valuable time of his life. When the train arrived, he did not lose his calm as he thought himself to be a well-bred person and according to him, hustle and bustle signified bad breeding. Sir Mohan wanted to accomplish every task with perfection and precision. So, if he displayed excitement at the arrival of the train it would ruin his gentleman-like appearance. So, while sipping his scotch, he ordered the bearer to inform him after shifting his luggage to a first-class compartment of the train and again got immersed in his thoughts.
